South Coast Surgery Center offers an array of surgical and non-surgical weight loss procedures.

    Gastric bypass surgery

Gastric Bypass Surgery is a procedure that divides the stomach into a smaller upper pouch and a much larger lower “remnant” pouch, with the small intestine rearranged to connect both.

    Sleeve Gastrectomy

Sleeve gastrectomy surgery begins with the removal of roughly 85 percent of the stomach, with the remainder being sewn into a sleeve-like shape. This procedure can help achieve long-term weight loss, helping you feel full faster.

    Lap-Band Procedure

The LAP-BAND® System creates a small pouch from the top portion of the patient’s stomach. By reducing stomach capacity, the LAP-BAND® System can help achieve long-term weight loss by creating an earlier feeling of satiety.

    Lap-Band Adjustment

A needle is inserted into the Lap-Band port and then injects saline into the balloon. As the band fills up, it puts pressure on top of the stomach making you feel full faster.

Obera Weight Loss System is a simple, nonsurgical procedure that uses an intragastric balloon to reduce the amount of food the stomach can hold. The balloon is inserted into the stomach using an endoscope, and it is filled with saline solution to about the size of a grapefruit.

    Hernia Repair

Hernia Repair Surgery will repair the weak tissue in the abdominal wall so that intestine and other tissue can’t push through it again.

An upper endoscopy is a procedure used to visually examine your upper digestive system to diagnose and, sometimes, treat conditions that affect the esophagus, stomach and beginning of the small intestine.

    Tummy Tuck

A Tummy Tuck is a cosmetic surgical procedure used to make the abdomen thinner and more firm. Excess skin and fat is remove from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall.
